It all began early on for Metter’s owner, Dave Metter, who always had a passion for the trades. Before officially starting the business in 2007, Dave served in the military for eight years. After his service, Dave and his wife, Alesha, moved back to the area and quickly figured out they wanted to start their own construction business.
Today, Dave and Alesha, proudly serve Ingham County and the surrounding areas as a 100% veteran-owned business. The Metters and their team are fully licensed and insured for all work on a new build, but their specialties are in outdoor fencing, bathroom remodels, hard floor surfaces, and custom tile work.
“Our niche and our favorite part of what we do is…fencing,” says Alesha Metter, who serves as the company’s Operations Manager. “Any kind of outdoor fencing you can think of with the exception of invisible fences.”
Metter Construction offers free estimates on any project, and Alesha encourages people who are undertaking a project to use her and her team as an educational resource. “If you don’t choose me for whatever the project is, that’s ok. But if you still have a question, use me for a reference,” Alesha says. “I’m here to not only do a job for you, but I’m here to educate people on a process even if they want to DIY it themselves.”
