Children’s Therapy Corner (CTC) believes in creating a family, home-like atmosphere where children and families can get the rehabilitation and therapeutic services they need. CTC began serving the Greater Lansing Area in 2013. This organization offers services and support for children and their families facing a variety of challenges. CTC provides services such as physical, occupational, and speech-language therapies, specialized treatment for autism spectrum disorders, feeding difficulties, sensory processing, and orthopedic therapy, among others.
According to their website, CTC has been widely received in the Greater Lansing area and has been focusing on expanding their services even more in that region. One area they hope to expand in in particular is pediatric services.
With locations in Midland and Traverse City, CTC provides models of care focused completely on each child’s specific needs. Those interested in care from the Lansing location can start with a no cost consultation where the team at CTC can get to know each child’s history and specific needs and families can learn more about the services available. After the initial consultation, if families decide to move forward with care, the team will put together a customized treatment plan for the child.
CTC has been expanding its Greater Lansing location as well. According to their website, “Our building designs and decorating decisions were made for therapeutic reasons. However, we also created a homelike atmosphere at each location which is conducive to learning and growing while having fun.” This includes many different types of spaces, everything from sensory gyms with climbing platforms, swings, and pillow pits to small quiet rooms for children who need to feel calm and comfortable, to kitchens where children can work on fine motor skills.
Children’s Therapy Corner is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday. It is located at 4285
