As the school year comes to a close, we reflect on an exciting and memorable year filled with countless accomplishments and milestones across Holt Public Schools. Our students truly shined—in the classroom, on the field, the court, the mat, the alley, and beyond. They dazzled us on stage during performances and showed compassion and leadership through service, including their remarkable work running our student-led Pop-Up Pantry. As always, the year wraps up with well-deserved celebrations, award ceremonies, and commencement.
This year, Holt High School is proud to graduate approximately 375 students. While crossing the stage is the culmination of their K-12 journey, it would not be possible without our dedicated and passionate staff who give their best every single day. Together, we are better—and together, we make a difference.
It has also been a historic year for our district’s facilities. We broke ground on the new Sycamore Elementary, located off Aurelius Road near the Junior High, and we said farewell to Dimondale Elementary, making way for the new building opening this fall. We also bid goodbye to Hope Middle School, which will no longer serve students in the upcoming year. While its future is still unfolding, its legacy will remain a proud part of our story.
In addition to these exciting transitions, we’ve expanded access to free universal preschool for all 4-year-olds—another big step toward supporting every learner, every day.
Thanks to the support of our voters in both 2021 and 2024, we continue to upgrade every school and facility across the district, ensuring our students have the learning environments they deserve. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support of the communities we serve.
While we now look ahead to a well-earned summer break, our work doesn’t stop. The enrollment office remains open year-round—if you’re looking to join the Holt family, give us a call at (517) 699-6990 or visit https://www.hpsk12.net/ to get started.
Remember—learning doesn’t take a vacation! We encourage families to keep reading, enjoy the outdoors, and explore new ideas. Before we know it, we’ll be welcoming everyone back for the first day of school on August 20, 2025.
Until then, be well—and as always, Go Rams!
