The start of a new calendar year brings renewed energy and excitement to our halls at Holt Public Schools. As we begin 2025, our students and staff continue to demonstrate the spirit of learning and growth that makes our district special.
This winter, we’re particularly excited about the significant progress in our facilities improvements. The opening of Dimondale Elementary marks a major milestone for our district, and we look forward to breaking ground on the new Sycamore Elementary, which will be located off Aurelius Road south of the Junior High. These modern facilities will feature innovative learning spaces, enhanced security measures, and new playgrounds designed to enrich our students’ educational experience.
Our ongoing facility enhancements continue to progress at:
- Elliott Elementary School
- Horizon Elementary
- Wilcox Elementary
- Midway Early Learning Center
These improvements include new HVAC systems and technology upgrades that create comfortable, modern learning environments for our students and staff.
We’re excited to announce that the next edition of the Ram Reader will be distributed in March, helping us maintain strong connections with our families and community members. Clear communication remains essential to our shared success, and we encourage ongoing collaboration and feedback from all members of our school community.
As winter sports season is in full swing, we invite you to show your Ram pride by supporting our student athletes at both junior high and high school competitions. You can find complete athletic schedules at www.holtathletics.org.
We continue to be grateful for our incredible school community – our enthusiastic students, supportive families, and dedicated staff members who make Holt Public Schools a special place to learn and grow. Together, we look forward to the opportunities and achievements that 2025 will bring.
Be well and go Rams,
David G. Hornak, Ed.D.
Superintendent, Holt Public Schools
